IT EUC Engineer
End User Computing (EUC) Engineer
Location: Glasgow - Hybrid
Salary: £35,000 to £39,000
Are you a skilled IT professional with a passion for delivering top-notch desktop support and end-user computing solutions? My client, a leading organisation with over £500M and 6,000+ end-users re seeking an experienced EUC Engineer to enhance their IT support operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- End User Computing Support: Provide high-quality support to end-users, addressing technical issues with Windows 7/10, physical hardware, Active Directory, Office 365, and more.
- EUC Technologies: Manage and optimise group policies, mobile device management, desktop/application virtualization, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and Windows networking (DHCP & DNS).
- Image Design & Deployment: Develop and deploy system images, ensuring efficient and reliable installations.
- Patching: Oversee vendor patching and ensure timely and effective patch management.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Deliver exceptional service through clear communication, effective problem-solving, and a customer-centric approach.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to team development and adapt to business changes while maintaining a professional, service-oriented attitude.
- Travel & Flexibility: Support multiple locations, resolve high-priority issues, and provide out-of-hours support as needed.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an End User Computing or Desktop Support role within a medium/large organisation
- Technical Skills: Proficient in EUC technologies including group policy management, Windows 7/10, physical hardware, Active Directory, Office 365, programming/scripting, mobile device management, SCCM, desktop/application virtualization, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and Windows networking (DHCP & DNS).
Experience using SCCM is essential - Additional Experience: At least 1 year in image design and deployment technologies and vendor patching.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to deliver high-quality results.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated success in addressing customer needs, managing sensitive information, and providing effective solutions.
- Team Player: Ability to work within a professional, service-oriented IT team and support business functions across various locations.
