Nexus People are looking for a Shift Manager to work in Elland for our client, who is a leading screen recycling plant. 
 
To be considered for this role you must have previous experience managing a team of Production Operatives, with experience within manufacturing. 

Working as a Shift Manager: 
Our client is looking for a Shift Manager who will be responsible for: 

• Opening/Closing down the site
• Daily inspections
• Shift pattern management
• Communicating work plans to the teams
• Measuring performance and ensuring the team are achieving their KPI's
• Monitoring and maintaining all areas of compliance
• Maintaining high standards of warehouse discipline and cleanliness
• Providing training, coaching, and support to the team
• Performance managing staff, including providing motivational leadership and handling disciplinary matters
• Assisting with general maintenance of the site and equipment
• Managing the offloading and loading of vehicles according to the traffic management plan
• Preparing the site for the receipt of existing, new, and projected volumes of material
• Ensuring permit requirements are met.
