Centric Talent are currently recruiting for a number of talented Warehouse Team Managers to join our clients team based at their state of the art, automated fulfilment centre in Corby.


 
Our client is a leading supply chain partner for British business and is trusted partner to many of the UK’s most recognisable brands and influential public bodies.

They have the facilities to take care of all their customers’ supply chain needs and a range of outsourced and integrated supply chain solutions.
Based at their 528,000 sq.

foot user facility they are looking to build a dynamic and strong team of team managers who will be responsible for the day to day running of the teams within a busy, fast paced efulfilment warehouse.
We are looking for an experienced team managers with a demonstratable background in warehouse operations or similar.

 
 
Hours of Work & Salary
Salary: £30 k (DOE)
Any 5 over 7 Rotational 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm


Warehouse Team Manager – Role and Responsibilities

Our client prioritises Safety above everything, and they need like-minded individuals who will ensure that safe working practices are adopted and observed at all times so as to ensure a safe working environment for everyone on site.
 
Our customer puts their client at the heart of what they do therefor the Team Manager role will involve guiding and optimising the warehouse functions to achieve the required standards of cost, efficiency, quality, and productivity in all areas.

Ensuring the best possible service levels are achieved for our customers.
 

  • Responsible supporting a team of operational colleagues covering various shift patterns.
  • Ensure the site works within legislative and company requirements, taking account of health & safety, implementing a culture where it is paramount at all times.
  • Responsible for ensuring all working procedures are clearly cascaded, resolving any issues quickly.
  • Effectively manage absence, conduct and performance in line with the company and site policies and procedures
  • Identify and implement new initiatives that enhance the operation and that add value.
  • Responsible for the achievement of Key Performance Indicators and delivering a high level on time, on cost, and in line to meet with customer service expectations.
  • Recruitment and induction of new colleagues providing a welcoming environment.
 
 
Essential Skills and Experience required. 
  • Safety focused and passionate about the welfare of our people.
  • Supervisory experience in a busy environment ideally logistics, 3PL, warehouse/distribution
  • Good management and motivational skills
  • Proactive and flexible in your approach
  • Ability to maximise potential of our client’s people, capable of supporting the development of colleagues and addressing under-performance.
  • Continually looks for ways to enhance and improve current processes.
  • Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working in an automated environment and alongside transport operations would be advantageous.
