Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider - South Kensington (West London) - Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in South Kensington.

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a commercial office located near South Kensington. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team.

Hours of work

• Shift Days - 2 on 2 off, 3 on 3 off, 07:00 am to 19:00pm/ 10:00 am to 22:00 pm
• £24 per hour depending on experience 
• Temp on going with potential of going permanent 

• City & Guilds / NVQ
• NVQ in Mechanical
• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• An understanding of the following is essential: L8 Water treatment, Pumps, Air Handling units
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer skills
• Need to be able to travel back home after finishing at 00:00am 

• Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
• AHUs/FCUs – filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans
• Pumps – PPMs or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
• Motors – PPMs (re-winds, overhauls)
• Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing
• Water pressurization units
• Chlorifiers – annual inspection, descaling
• Steam Plant
• Condensers, Condenser Returns
• Cooling towers
• Softeners
• Humidifiers
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Boilers – re-sets
• Chillers – re-sets, 1st Line faults
