My client are an industry leader within the Heavy Plant industry, Covering a number of contracts throughout the North West

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the North West area for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter



Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy machinery to identify and address potential issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems in heavy plant machinery.
- Execute repairs and overhauls on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components.
- Replace faulty or worn-out parts with new ones, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
- Welding and fabrication may be required to repair structural components.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately.
- Interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Conduct performance tests on repaired machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Perform quality control checks to guarantee that repairs meet safety and operational standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Provide clear and accurate reports on equipment condition and repair history.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on heavy machinery.
- Ensure that repaired equipment meets safety standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and other team members regarding equipment status, repair timelines, and any issues that may arise.
- Stay informed about advancements in heavy machinery technology and participate in training programs to update skills.
- Implement upgrades and modifications to improve the performance and efficiency of equipment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and operational teams to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Provide assistance and guidance to less experienced technicians.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, and work efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Prioritize and execute repairs based on criticality and operational needs.
