An excellent opportunity has arisen within the West Thurrock area for an experienced Small Tool Fitter

As a Small Tool Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of small tools and equipment used in construction, manufacturing, and other industries.

Your role involves ensuring that small tools operate efficiently, safely, and reliably to support various tasks and projects.

Below is a detailed job description outlining the key duties and qualifications for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and functional issues with small tools and equipment such as drills, saws, grinders, nail guns, compressors, and generators.

Servicing: Conduct regular servicing of small tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

This includes cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting components, checking for wear and tear, and replacing parts as needed.

Diagnostic Work: Utilize diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot problems with small tools and equipment.

Identify issues, perform tests, and determine root causes of malfunctions to facilitate effective repairs.

Parts Replacement: Source and replace worn or damaged parts in small tools, including blades, bits, belts, cords, switches, and batteries.

Ensure that replacement parts meet quality standards and are compatible with specific tool models.

Electrical Work: Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on small tools and equipment, including wiring, switches, plugs, and circuitry.

Test electrical components for functionality and safety compliance.

Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems: Service and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems in small tools such as air compressors, nail guns, and hydraulic jacks.

Inspect hoses, seals, valves, and fittings for leaks or damage.
