My client are an industry leader within the Compactor & Baler industry, Covering a number of contracts throughout the East Midlands

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compactor & Baler Engineer

Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Analyze compactor and baler systems to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

Use diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot problems and develop effective repair solutions.

Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments on compactor and baler equipment to address technical issues and restore functionality.

Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

Parts Replacement: Replace faulty components, such as motors, cylinders, sensors, and control panels, to maintain the reliability and efficiency of compactor and baler systems.

Coordinate with suppliers to procure replacement parts as needed.

Safety Inspections: Conduct safety inspections and compliance checks on compactor and baler systems to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.

Implement corrective actions to address safety hazards and mitigate risks.

Client Support: Interact with clients to understand their service requirements, schedule service visits, and communicate repair plans and timelines.

Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repair logs, maintenance schedules, and inspection reports.

Generate service reports and documentation for internal records and client communication.

Training and Education: Provide training sessions for operators and maintenance personnel on equipment usage, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.

Share best practices and recommendations for optimizing equipment performance and longevity.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in service operations.

Collaborate with colleagues and management to implement changes and enhancements that enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
