Children's Speech & Language Therapist - Band 6
A great new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Children's Speech & Language Therapist - Band 6 t to provide mainstream and special schools, patient focused and thrive on providing quality care based in the Bromley, Kent area.

This is a community interest company providing a wide range of services including community nursing services such as district nursing, health visiting to specialist nurses, as well as therapy services for children, young people and adults

*To be considered for this position you must hold a relevant qualification in Speech & Language Therapy

As the Children's Speech & Language Therapist your key responsibilities include:
- Work with a mixed paediatric caseload who have a range of speech, language and communication needs
- Responsible for the management, assessment and treatment of the children on these caseloads, with the support of peers and more senior colleagues
- Contribute to in-service training within the department and to take responsibility for the supervision of students and more junior staff
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening and empathy
- Well developed analytical skills with use of knowledge necessary for case load management, assessment and therapy relevant to client group e.g.
prioritisation - Highly developed auditory and perceptual skills in the assessment diagnosis and treatment of clients/patients
- Ability to transcribe speech phonetically
- Skills in handling clients/ patients with disabilities
- Ability to maintain intense concentration in all aspects of patient management for prolonged periods
- Evidence of developing responsibility for clinic and caseload management
- Experience of working with other professionals relevant to client groups
The successful Speech & Language Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £40,701 - £48,054 per annum.
This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.
