Ignition Driver Recruitment is currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to work from Northampton for our client who is one of the leading UK Logistics companies. 

Before you apply for this role, you must be able to answer YES to all the questions below: 

  • Do you have your Class 2 Driving Licence? 
  • Do you have 12 months experience driving a Class 2 vehicle?
  • Do you have an up-to-date Tacho Digi and a DCPC Card?
    • We will accept up to 6 points on your licence, but no DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.

    HGV Class 2 Driver - Role & Responsibilities: 
    As an HGV Class 2 Driver for this client, you will be responsible for: 
    • Driving a fully branded HGV vehicle 
      • You will be expected to drive an array of vehicles, including 3.5t van, 7.5T, 12T or 18T (pay will be the same regardless of the vehile)
    • Delivering pharmaceuticals to patients homes
      • You will be delivering dextrose monohydrate for dialysis machines)
    • Multi-drop routes - 8/12 deliveries per shift
    • Physically demanding routes with heavgy lifting required (up & down stairs etc)
    • Required to keep up to date with the required pre & post-shift vehicle checks 
    • Excepted to maintain your Driver hours in accordance with Working Time Regulations
    You will be given 2 weeks training before you begin. 

    HGV Class 2 Driver - Working Hours:
    • Monday to Friday working
    • Various shifts available
      • 05:00 - 07:00 start times
