Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Graduate CAD Design & Project Technicians to support our design and project teams.

This role offers recent graduates in mechanical or structural engineering a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will work on a variety of projects, from initial concept designs to detailed manufacturing and construction drawings, and play a key role in delivering bespoke solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
CAD Detailing: Assist in creating 2D and 3D CAD drawings for construction, marine, and industrial applications.
Concept Drawings: Help develop initial design concepts for tenders and presentations.
Material Take-Offs: Learn to prepare material lists and take-offs for pricing and procurement.
Specification & Ordering: Support the specification and ordering of materials for projects.
Manufacturing Drawings: Aid in producing detailed workshop manufacturing drawings.
CNC Cutting: Create profile drawings for CNC cutting, with guidance from experienced team members.
Problem-Solving: Collaborate with workshop supervisors and senior technicians to identify and resolve issues in the manufacturing process.
Scheduling: Assist the operations manager in programming and prioritizing the manufacturing schedule.
Client Liaison: Communicate with clients under supervision to address production queries and ensure their requirements are met.
Document Control: Help manage manufacturing documents and records in line with EN1090 and ISO9001 quality management systems.
Audit Preparation: Support preparation for ISO 9001, ISO 45001, EN1090, and SSIP audits.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or a related field.
Skills: Basic proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software.

Familiarity with CNC cutting processes is a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Interest in the construction, marine, or port industries.

Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems is beneficial.
Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce clear and detailed drawings and reports.
Motivation: Eagerness to learn, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
