Support Manager

About You
Are you passionate about working with others in Digital to provide great customer service?

Are you an experienced Digital professional who can lead and support others?

  • You will be responsible for leading the Service Desk and Desktop support team, providing high quality frontline support to Coal Authority staff and other stakeholders.

    You will monitor and report on the teams’ overall performance and provide effective coaching, mentoring and development of individuals.
  • Where necessary you will provide cover and extra support for the team in the daily logging, management and resolution of tickets ensuring appropriate levels of service are maintained for end users.
  • You will help to manage workloads for the team, driving a culture of continuous service improvement and ensure that we shift left work to your staff so that we can improve the experience for our customers and give greater job satisfaction by exposure to more rewarding work for your team.
  • Through the use of reports and KPI’s that you will develop, you will ensure that tickets are being managed and progressed with all of the digital resolver teams and also provide support to teams in the wider business that use our ITSM tool.

About The Role
You will lead and work with the Service Desk and Desktop support teams to improve and maintain high standards of support for colleagues and partners of the Coal Authority.
 
You will be required to identify areas for team development and service improvement to ensure our systems, processes and governance support our delivery of excellent customer service.
 
You will work with the Digital management team to define priorities for the team, support Digital colleagues in maintaining all BAU services and ensure that the Digital programmes of work are managed into live service appropriately and that your teams have the knowledge and information to support colleagues.
