Compassionate and reliable Carer/Travel Companion required for an active and independent elderly lady in her 80s.

The client is in excellent health and active but would benefit from a supportive presence and assistance during her various daily activities and occasional travel abroad.

You will have experience in a similar role and ideally but not essential have some background in nursing.

The Carer/Travel Companion will be fluent in English and Dutch languages.

You will hold an EU Passport, have a valid driving license and access to a car.

What You Will Be Doing

• 
  

  Provide companionship and emotional support to the lady, engaging in meaningful conversations, and offering a sense of security and comfort.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and cooking.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure the lady's well-being and comfort at all times.

  
  


• 
  

  Accompany the lady on outings, appointments, and occasional trips.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with transportation, helping her in and out of vehicles, and ensuring she travels safely.

  
  


• 
  

  Plan and engage in recreational activities, hobbies, and exercises that align with the lady's interests and abilities to promote mental and physical well-being.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a safe environment, and be prepared to respond to emergencies as needed.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain records of daily activities, appointments, and any significant changes in the lady's health or well-being.

  
  

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role

  Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous experience in a caring position.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous experience in a nursing role is advantageous.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  
  


• 
  

  Fluent in English and Dutch

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to provide physical assistance when necessary

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable, punctual, and committed to the well-being of the lady.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous experience in caregiving or eldercare is a plus.

  Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle for transportation.

  
  


• 
  

  Willingness to travel (in and outside the Netherlands) with the client as needed.
