Job Title: Packaging Machine Engineer

Location: Within One Hour of Brighouse, West Yorkshire

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Hours: 40 - 45 hours per week

Travel: Up to 1 or 2 overnight stays per week required

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Machine Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our packaging machinery.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of packaging equipment, ensuring that our production processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on packaging machinery.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to minimise downtime.
Collaborate with the production team to optimise machine performance.
Conduct preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new packaging equipment.
Provide training to operators on machine operation and safety protocols.
Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
Occasionally, travel to customer sites for equipment servicing, which may involve overnight stays.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Packaging Machine Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of packaging machinery and automation systems.
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally and stay overnight as needed.
Valid driver's license.
