The Role
Environmental Enforcement Officer –  Hillingdon - Full-Time - £22,880.00 per annum

You will need to be over 18 to apply and having a full clean Driving Licence 

As an Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will enforce local laws to protect the area from litter, dog fouling, various other breaches, and local byelaw violations.

So, what can you expect as an EEO? 

You’ll be helping members of the public, patrolling streets and upholding environmental conducts.  

The Role: 

• To monitor and enforce the conducts within the London Borough of Hillingdon by foot patrol, carrying out inquiries and pursue action where appropriate.
• Taking action against public enquiries /complaints regarding the local area and anti-social behaviour.
• Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices for offences where appropriate.
• Recording witness statements and conducting interviews under caution when required.
• Validate and Verify the personal details of offenders.
• Preparing and submitting relevant cases for trial in conjunction with legal services.
  
  Helping to present trial cases to court and attending as a witness when required
• Ensuring effective and efficient recording of work details and case progression including the use of computer software
• And the building of  good working relations with key service areas and other key agencies including the Police.

• Experience of enforcement work.
•  Experience of carrying out awareness raising/public relations work.
• Knowledge of green services such as cleaning and waste collection.
• The skill to communicate well to different audiences and work as part of a team.
• Be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of dealing with possibly quarrelsome people/situations.
• Have the knack to develop, implement and follow policies.
• Be able to deal with complaints and resolve complex issues
