Senior Shift Engineer - Client Direct – Days and Nights Shift – Large Commercial Complex – Moorgate - 12 month fixed term - £48,983

A Fantastic opportunity for an senior shift engineer to work client direct for a large commercial complex made up of restaurants, office space and exhibition space. 
The successful candidate will be electrically biased (NVQ, C&G, 17th / 18th Edition etc), preferably multi skilled with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
Working with the maintenance team on-site, he or she will be required to carry out electrical, mechanical, and fabric maintenance to the following.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the team of shift engineers when the shift team leader is absent.

In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £48,983 + excellent benefits package.

This is a 12 month fixed term with the possibility of permanent employment afterwards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To participate actively in the planned, preventative maintenance, operation, repair and adjustment of all machinery and service installations across the complex 
  • To assist with the supervision of & manage the activities of a multi-disciplined trades team.
  • To assist in the supervision and actively participate in the installation of new services and modification of existing services.
  • To exhibit a thorough knowledge of current safety regulations and ability to carry out such safety procedures.
  • To undertake relevant duties as required, and as directed by the Engineering Shift Team Leader & Management Team
  • To be committed to always providing the highest level of customer service to both internal and external clients.
Hours of work
  • 2 days on 3 days off 3 nights on 2 nights off
  • Day: 08:00am to 20:00pm
  • Nights: 18:00pm to 06:00am
  • 1.5 hour break

Requirements

  • Electrically qualified, preferably multi skilled (C&G, NVQ etc)
  • Electrical Installations qualification (essential only for electrical trades); preferably 18th
    Edition, minimum 17th Edition
  • A proven track record in Building Maintenance
  • Experience of large low temperature hot water systems, electro-pneumatic control systems
    and air-conditioning/refrigeration & BEMS/Control systems is essential.
  • Extensive & a broad knowledge of large building services installations.
  • Experience in a supervisory position would be desirable.
  • Good Communication Skills.
