Support Services Manager

An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Support Service Manager to work in a beautiful care home based in the Sevenoaks, Kent area.

This care home delivers excellent residential care and dementia care in a purpose built home, which has been designed with residents' needs in mind


*To be considered for this position you must have relevant management experience in a hospitality environment, and knowledge of managing a hotel service e.g.

catering, domestic and maintenance



As the Support Service Manager your key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and delivering high quality catering services in the home

  • Overseeing the entire housekeeping operation and team on a daily basis

  • Working with the maintenance team to ensure that the fabric and security of the building are properly maintained and any repairs are reported and dealt with promptly

  • Leading on the recruitment and induction of all catering, maintenance and housekeeping staff ensuring teams are fully resourced and effectively deployed daily

  • Ensuring and participating in the Quality Assurance Auditing systems within the Home

  • Assisting the General Manager and Home Administrator/Book Keeper in the effective and efficient running of the home, including budgetary control

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • A strong manager with prior experience of staff management including recruitment, appraisals, training and development

  • An advanced communicator with strong organisational skills

  • Ability to use standard MS office packages, including outlook and excel

  • Able to show a can-do attitude always

The successful Support Service Manager will receive an excellent Band 7 Salary.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working through Days.
