Job Role: This particular role is based at The Moor Lane Centre.

The  Occupational Therapist will work in a range of settings as an autonomous practitioner, providing high quality paediatric occupational therapy to support children and young people with disabilities to achieve their potential.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support children and young people’s occupational therapy needs and provide specialist advice to other disciplines.

You will carry a specialist caseload of children and young people with a variety of complex physical, learning and social needs and be responsible for writing reports for EHCP and MDT assessments/reviews.

As part of the role you will contribute to the supervision of students on clinical placement and support workers who are working with children and young people on your caseload.




Sirona Medical will be providing the Occupational Therapist to The Moor Lane Centre.

As an Occupational Therapist you will be representing Sirona Medical and the Local Authority/NHS Trust.

The role is one Paediatric Occupational Therapist Full time Monday to Friday 36 hours per week working in a Special School.

As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you must have a in Diploma/BSc/Graduate Diploma/MSc in Occupational Therapy with a minimum 6 months solid experience in an NHS Establishment.


You will be required to accept responsibility, with support and direction to effectively manage a client caseload with associated specialist support needs.
To ensure that appropriate and up-to-date client records/files and computer information system is maintained and kept with due regard to confidentiality.
To act in accordance with HCPC registration requirements and Code of Conduct for exercising accountability and professional practice.


To provide high quality paediatric occupational therapy to support children and young people with disabilities to achieve their potential.
