Fabric Engineer/Plumber

Fabric Engineer/Plumber - Hayes, West London - FM Service Provider - Temp to Perm - Up to £17.30 per hour   

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in Hayes, West London. CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric/Plumber to be based in a commercial building based in Hayes.

The successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties, plumbing duties & a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

The role may also include Handyman duties depending on the needs of the client. 
 
Key duties: 

• Strong technical competence in Fabric and Plumbing
• To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
• To undertake some plumbing activities including but not limited to clearing blockages, attending to burst pipes, replacing components, servicing systems etc.
• Carry out specialist technical and non-technical work as deemed appropriate to the continuing maintenance function on the client portfolio
• Offer technical support and backup as required
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with safe systems of work and permit to work procedures
• To ensure the client receives the highest level of service to their assets by carrying out reactive and planned maintenance, minor improvements
• Assist Multi-Skilled Engineers where required

• City & Guilds competencies 
• Working knowledge of Permit if work systems
• Understand and interpret technical drawings.processes 
• Willingness to develop skills and take on additional responsibilities Comprehensive building services knowledge in similar environments to a minimum of Plumbing standards
