Night Coordinator
A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for dedicated Night Coordinator/Senior Floating Nurse to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Hook, Hampshire area.
You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers
This service aims to support patients in a range of community-based activities as part of a full treatment programme and to prepare them in moving through their discharge pathway towards a community- based placement

*To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RMN or RNLD with a valid NMC Pin

As a Nurse your key duties include:
- Monitor staff in direct patient care programmes and activities
- Embrace those managerial duties that require them to respond to night emergency situations, and the deployment of staff.
To be the administrator of incidents/accidents that needs to be referred to a higher body - Liaise closely with the appropriate Ward Managers responsible for the 24 hour continuing responsibility of a ward
- To develop the clinical role of the night nurse practitioner, using reflective practice skills
- Assist the Ward Managers in the evaluation of care offered by nursing staff on nights
- Ensures that all nursing staff act at all times in accordance with the NMC Codes
- Liaise with on call nurse in order to maintain safe staffing levels throughout the hospital at night.
This may include last minute staff deployment
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- A positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of NMC standards guidelines and professional practices
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
- Management Training/previous responsibility desirable
The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £43,571 - £48,020 per annum DOE.
This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
