B8b Psychologist required for Staffordshire HMP’s.

Duties:
Providing clinical services directly to people with complex mental health problems and their families/carers and supporting the service and its staff to use strategies that enhance the psychological well-being of people who use this service.

The roles are a combination of direct and indirect work – so some individual or group therapy work, but most of the time will be spent on providing consultation, training, supervision, formulation to the integrated mental health & substance use teams.

Hours - Full time or Part time

Essential Requirements:

• Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology, or equivalent qualification such as Statement of Equivalence, leading to eligibility for Chartered status
• Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management, including the use of theoretical models to analyse information and develop formulations upon which to base choice of treatment
• Skills in delivering psychological interventions in individual and/or group formats, adapted to meet the needs of the individual or group
• Skills in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
