The Role
School Crossing Patrol Officers - Lollipop Person 
The position start date will be w/c 4th Sept 2023 at Rochford Road, Southend on Sea.

2 hours per day (10h per week) Mon-Friday (8.10am – 9.10am & 14:40 – 15.40)

  • Salary - Currently - £5,557.50 per annum.

If the answer is yes, you may be interested in becoming a School Crossing Patrol Officer.
The role of a School Crossing Patrol officer is to ensure the safety of families waiting to cross the road or crossing at a designated point between prescribed times.

This being without detriment to the health and safety of all other road users. 
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Ensure the safety of families crossing the road at an assigned point on their journey to and from school.
• Operate hazard warning signs as appropriate.
• Control and direct traffic as appropriate.
• You will maintain control over families who are awaiting instructions to cross.
• You will use all uniform and equipment provided for personal safety and for the safety of families and other road users, especially when stopping  traffic on the Highway.
• You will frequently assess the risks associated with operating at the crossing site in order to identify any problems.
•  Report problems and defects to manger.
The Package:
  • Full training
  • Full uniform
  • Payment made throughout the year, on a monthly basis. 
This role is subject to Disclosure Barring Check (DBS).
