CBW is currently recruiting for an Electrical shift engineer to be based in a large commercial building in Battersea.

The successful candidate will be electrically biased (C&G, 18th Edition) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Working with the maintenance team on site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical planned and reactive maintenance to the tenanted areas of this commercial office building.

In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000, further training, overtime and career progression.

Duties

  • Electrical - Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast, Control panel, Power distribution)
  • Generators
  • Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
  • Emergency lighting
  • Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
  • Chillers - Re-set
  • BMS System - Monitor (i.e.

    Hot & Colds)

Hours of work
  • Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Wed (DAYS) Thurs, Friday (OFF) Sat & Sun (DAYS)
  • Week 2 - Mon, Tues, Wed (OFF) Thurs, Fri (NIGHTS) Sat & Sun (OFF)
  • Week 3 - Mon, Tues, Wed (NIGHTS) Thurs, Friday (OFF) Sat & Sun (DAYS)
  • Week 4 - Mon, Tues, Wed (OFF) Thurs, Fri (DAYS) Sat & Sun (OFF)

Requirements
  • Electrically Qualified
  • City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3
  • City & Guilds - 18th Edition
  • Conversant with small works installations and testing
  • Completing statutory documentation & permits
  • Servicing, fault diagnosis & repair knowledge of HVAC systems & their controls
  • Good knowledge of mechanical plant and equipment, including isolation
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Previous experience with planning & liaising with clients & sub-contractors
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety within the workplace
