Short description – Sirona Medical are looking for a mixture of Registered Nurses on behalf of NHS and private clients of ours in the following locations.

A Band 5/6 Child Development Nurse Associate is a healthcare professional who specializes in providing care and support to children and their families in the field of child development.

The specific responsibilities and duties of a Band 5/6 Child Development Nurse Associate may vary depending on the healthcare setting and local protocols, but generally, their role involves the following:

  • Assessment and Observation: They assess and observe children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development to identify any potential developmental delays or concerns.
  • Screening and Referral: They conduct developmental screenings and refer children to appropriate specialists or services for further evaluation and intervention if needed.
  • Parent and Family Education: They provide guidance, education, and support to parents and families on various aspects of child development, including nutrition, safety, behavior management, and early stimulation.
  • Care Coordination: They work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as pediatricians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to child development care.
  • Developmental Interventions: They may assist in implementing and monitoring interventions or therapies aimed at promoting optimal child development, such as providing developmental activities, facilitating playgroups, or coordinating therapy sessions.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: They maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and communications related to child development, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Advocacy: They advocate for the needs of children and their families within the healthcare system, ensuring that appropriate resources and support are available to promote positive developmental outcomes.
  • Continual Professional Development: They stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in child development through attending training, workshops, and conferences.
