Job Title: Estimator - Drainage Industry (London and Kent)

You will be covering the London and Kent.

As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate cost estimates for drainage projects, contributing to the continued success of our client.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough research and assessment of information specific to the drainage industry to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
Utilize your in-depth knowledge of drainage materials, equipment, and labour costs to determine precise pricing.
Source quotes from suppliers and subcontractors specialized in the drainage industry, ensuring competitive rates and high-quality services.
Develop comprehensive project schedules, considering the unique aspects of drainage projects and regional factors.
Assess potential risks associated with drainage projects and implement suitable mitigation strategies.
Utilize industry-specific software packages and analytical tools to analyze data, exchange rates, and prices.
Prepare and submit professional and detailed quotations for drainage projects, adhering to industry standards and client specifications.
Support the bidding process for new contracts, utilizing your industry expertise to provide accurate estimates and assist with procurement activities.
Monitor project progress, track costs, and ensure alignment with forecasted estimates throughout the lifecycle of projects.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimator within the drainage industry
Strong knowledge of drainage materials, equipment, and labour costs.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to research and assess information from various sources.
Ability to understand and interpret project requirements, translating them into accurate cost estimates.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Strong organizational skills to develop comprehensive project schedules and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the London and Kent regions.
