Occupational Therapist
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional hospital setting based in the Gainsborough, Lincolnshire area.
You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This hospital is a low secure unit for men with mental illnesses and personality disorders.
They provide a full treatment pathway for those requiring rehabilitation and they focus on patients learning new skills, embedding these in everyday life, and maintaining the skills that are necessary for community living

*To be considered for this position you must be registered with the HCPC and be qualified as an Occupational Therapist

As an Occupational Therapist your key responsibilities include:
- Carry out OT assessments to identify patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate interventions on either an individual or group basis
- Manage and co-ordinate individual OT treatment plans facilitate groups and oversee the unit programmes
- Write up regular OT reports and to attend multi-disciplinary meetings
- Ensure effective and efficient management of occupational therapy assistants
- Provide clinical supervision to member of the occupational therapy team
- Develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues ensuring clinical practice is in line with policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards
- Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives and carers
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential
- Financial and people management skills
- Experience in a rehabilitation setting and experience of working within mental health services
- Good personal organisational skills and effective communication skills
The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent annual salary up to £34,000 per annum.
This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
