Group Finance Analyst
Location: Hybrid split of 2 days home and 3 days office (Wilmslow)
Hours of Work: Full-time.

With this comes the need for analysis and business partnering to inform all decision-making.
In line with this, we are looking for an ambitious Group Finance Analyst.
This role will add value to the performance of the Group and its business units and have significant involvement in integrating department activities from M&A into the group function and having significant involvement in a strategic forward-thinking finance function including budgeting, monitoring and preparing key cost centres in the Group division's P&L.

The role
Month End
, Leading on cost centre reviews to identify correct cost reporting in month and analysing key variances budget.
, Develop and lead on capex and project reporting for significant technology development spend on key platforms and systems across the Group.
, Consolidation of key cost centre information from across the Group to present consolidated department views for opex & capex.
, Producing intercompany invoicing and recharges schedule.
, Preparation of key metrics and analysis for performance of group inside sales team (cross-sell).
, Reporting of results and preparing of analysis (including supplementary information) in departmental trading meetings.
, Dealing promptly and accurately with queries as they arise.
Stakeholder management
The role will require being a key point of contact for business stakeholders within the including members of the IT, Product, HR, Marketing and Inside Sales departments.
This will include working with department members to identify correct month-end accounting, setting and adhering to budgets, identifying areas of investigation or synergy through analysis, and supporting them in preparing suitable analysis within business cases for new projects or products.
There is also significant responsibility in liaising with finance team members within the business units in both the central finance team and the commercial finance function to help deliver budgets, month end and ad-hoc workstreams.
Budgets and Forecasting
, Involved in bi-annual Budget process for Divisional Group P&L, leading on key cost centres for Group Division
, Assisting with review of consolidated Group Budget with regard to key cost centres and CapEx
, Responsible for communicating with key department leaders to identify risks and opportunities based on current monthly performance.
Other ad hoc projects
, Involvement in integration and onboarding of recently made and future acquisitions into the group model
, Support business representatives in preparing business cases for new technology development proposals, including new products and efficiency projects.
, Groupwide analysis to identify potential efficiencies for our operational excellence workstream.
, Analysis on potential opportunities for further centralisation or consolidation of business unit people and costs to drive efficiency and scalability.
, Involvement in analysis sales performance of the inside sales team as part of the Group Division.
About you
, Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
, Have an understanding of a P&L and business structure.
, An understanding of cost accounting including prepayments & accruals.
, Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
, Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to engage non-Finance colleagues.
, Experience with Excel and data manipulation is essential.
, Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.
, Eagerness to learn and develop skills across a wide range of projects/areas of finance.
