Title - Management Accountant
Salary - £21,000 to £22,200 (Pro-rata £35,000 to £37,000 dependant on previous experience plus many benefits)
Part-time 22.5 hours per week.
Based in Hooton, Wirral 2 days in office, 1 from home.

The role

We are looking for a capable and autonomous individual to manage our company finances, including our management accounts, operational tasks and some accounts receivable and payable work.

We are part of Ceuta Group which has a central finance team located in Bournemouth and you will be our in-house go-to for all things finance related.

Specific responsibilities will include:
● Preparation of monthly management accounts by strict deadlines to consolidate the overall company position including deferred income accounting for accurate revenue recognition.

All month-end journal postings.
● Detailed reporting & analysis relating to both revenue and costs across the business to support key business decisions.
● Communicate financial information which can be translated into effective commercial strategy and decision-making.
● Liaise with directors - reporting and reviewing actual and forecast performance at both detailed and summary level.
● Process staff mileage and expenses for monthly payroll.
● Review of reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including bank, sales ledger, purchase ledger, prepayments and accruals, and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
● Bank and cash management - Responsible for preparing and reviewing bank payments.

Prepare weekly cash forecasts to best manage cash flow.
● Sales ledger management - responsible for all aspects, including raising monthly client retainer invoices.
● Purchase ledger management - responsible for all aspects of the purchase ledger including, review and reconciliations of all supplier invoices/payments.
● Liaise with external auditors to provide information and evidence relating to year-end audits as requested.
● Supporting the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.

Relevant skills and experience includes:
● AAT qualified or equivalent Accountancy qualification/QBE
● Working knowledge of XERO.
● High level of numeracy, able to explain complex financial information in a clear way
● Advanced Excel skills
● Excellent time management and organisational skills showing ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritise work
● Good interpersonal skills in order to both assist and challenge stakeholders at multiple levels
