Mechanical Engineer (Conveyor Systems) – Historic Building – Kings Cross - £41,000 Per annum

My client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to be based in a historic building near Kings Cross.

The successful candidates will be Mechanically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record working on a commercial or industrial background or background working with conveyor systems.

Working with the maintenance team on site (team of 2), In return, the company are offering a competitive salary of £41,000, further training and career progression.



Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Resetting faults
  • Changing bands on rollers
  • Replacing small motors
  • Releasing stuck skips
  • Day-to-day running of MBHS system operations.
  • Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance works.
  • Fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure it is safe, reliable and efficient.
  • Replacement and installation of mechanical and electrical components including rewiring.
  • Supervising external projects and coordinating contractors.
  • Fabrication and installation of safety equipment.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained to company standards.
Hours of work

Week 1 - Mon Fri - 8-5

Week 2 - Tues Sat - 8-5

This rotates every 2 weeks

Requirements

  • Mechanically qualified level 2 (C&G, NVQ etc)
  • Experience working on MBHS systems
  • Experience working on PLC systems.
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills
