Ward Manager

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Ward Manager to work in an exceptional service based in the Dorking, Surrey area.

This is an inpatient rehabilitation and recovery service for females with mental health needs, personality disorders or mild learning disabilities and who may have a history of challenging behaviours, self-harm, substance misuse problems or trauma

As a Ward Manager your key duties include:



  • Assist with the clinical development of the ward through managing staff and monitoring clinical standards and practice

  • Work closely with the Director of Clinical Services to achieve ward targets and deliver high quality patient care

  • Co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment

  • Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care

  • Manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within a ward or unit, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Experience supervising nursing staff

  • Training and current mentor

  • Experience or working in an Environment that requires ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Computer literate

  • Evidence or continued professional development.


  • Additional expertise such as DBT and CBT for Psychosis would be advantageous



The successful Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £48,393 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
