Projective has an immediate requirement for a Senior Process Engineer/SME from various disciplines.


A significant volume of this work will be integrating the latest new technology for low and zero-carbon solutions into these established facilities.

Additionally, as a Subject Matter Expert in Process Engineering, you will support the development of our team including Graduate Engineers, and proactively contribute to their expanding technical knowledge.


This is a pivotal role and you will have extensive relevant industrial process experience in Chemical or Mechanical Process Engineering.


The role highlights:


, Act as a principal Senior Engineer to partner with clients on various projects by both indirect and direct advising, supply of information, quality checking of work and content input on a wide range of projects
, Support and underpins the specialist knowledge areas of our Consultancy business
, Provide expertise in application, understanding and key principles of heat recovery, heat pumps, and chiller technologies as well as various other utility engineering technologies
, Process design and checking and assisting preparation of flowsheets, PFDs, and P&IDs
, Able to work on sustainability and decarbonisation projects and use holistic analysis of existing processes to determine the best solution for each scenario
, Propose innovative technology or solutions and to add further value to these assets
, Perform calculations to size process and utility equipment such as pressure relief valves, line sizing, control valves, etc
, Drive the continuous improvement process within the organisation
, Sets and upholds standards of operating excellence using the BMS and internal processes
, Act as an internal business partner to support other areas of the business


Essential requirements:


, Chemical or Mechanical/Process Engineering Degree (ideally Msc)
, Significant demonstrable leadership experience in application of chillers, heat recovery and heat pumps and other utility technologies
, Senior Technical Engineering SME role experience within a manufacturing process or within a Consultancy.

Technical knowledge of HVAC and other industrial utility plant practical applications
, Practical expert knowledge of other utilities systems including boilers & steam plants, refrigeration & cooling systems, compressed air systems and water treatment.
, Strong I.T.

general and technical skills, Microsoft Office inc.

Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Visio etc., and any other project software packages such as MS Project
, Excellent Excel and data analytical skills
, A clear commitment to personal continuous professional development, able to lead by example.

Our Head office is based in Fleet, Hampshire, which is 40 minutes from London, borders the counties of Berkshire and Surrey, and is on the mainline train route from London Waterloo.


There is the opportunity to partly work from home if your location is not within travel distance of one of our offices and this can be discussed during the recruitment process.


The role is based at our UK offices, with the requirement to travel to client sites both in the UK and overseas.
