Support Worker - Harrow - (Short Breaks)

Are you a person who really wants to make a difference to people’s lives?
If you are able to support someone to explore their interests, to promote their independence and ensure they have an active fun time; then this may be the job for you.

We are currently looking for someone to provide short breaks for disabled children and young people in the local area.
Short breaks involve supporting a child or young person for a few hours usually on the weekend.
Short breaks are on a 1:1 basis and can occur in the local community or in a child or young person’s home.

Our breaks are designed around the child/ young person and their interests and hobbies.

During a break you may take a child swimming, go to a local park, visit a museum or perhaps go to the shops.

Breaks involve learning and developing skills: from handling money to using public transport.
Our short break work makes a difference to the lives of children and young people with a disability and for their families.
