Respiratory Specialist Nurse

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Respiratory Specialist Nurse to work in an exceptional diabetes service based in the Sittingbourne, Kent area.

The service works closely with GP/Practice Nurses and consultant to ensure that they provide a comprehensive service, to enable patients to live an independent life

As a Nurse your key duties include:



  • You will lead the Respiratory nursing service

  • Promote the health and wellbeing of people with Respiratory Conditions

  • Enabling them to achieve optimum quality of life through informed self-management and appropriate clinical interventions, whilst also providing a link between GP and Consultant led specialist teams

  • You will provide education and support both to patients and those who care for them

  • You will also play a key part in the ‘Unwell Service' to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions where possible



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Have at least 4 years post qualification experience at Band 6 or Band 7 of caring for patients with Respiratory conditions in a specialist nursing capacity in both Acute and Community clinical settings.

  • Have evidence of post qualification Respiratory Care and Management including ARTP qualification

  • Have experience in Working with patients in groups and delivering education

  • Have excellent communication, IT, collaborative and motivational skills



The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £40,056 - £45,838 per annum.
