As a Nurse your key duties include:



  • Take responsibility for the nursing provision within the establishment

  • Provide a high standard of direct nursing to residents based on the assessment of care needs and in consultation with the residents, their relatives, other health professionals and the care team

  • Ensure appropriate documentation is completed, reviewed and up to date including care plans, risk assessments and other associated and relevant documentation

  • Carry out regular auditing of medication and to lead on taking action following these audits, working alongside the nominated medication lead

  • Liaise with residents GP's and other health care professionals involved in the residents care such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Community Nurses etc.

  • Work within the NMC codes of conduct and Scope of Practice and within company policies and procedures

  • Work closely with other members of the care team, ensuring that effective, high quality care is given to achieve agreed goals and aspirations

  • To provide any additional support to the Manager or Deputy Manager as required



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Experience of working with older people including people living with dementia

  • Experience in participating in quality and clinical governance programmes

  • Ability to explain treatments and conditions to people who have communication difficulties

  • Confidence in working in a pressurised setting and ability to prioritise and multitask

  • People management experience

  • Good working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks



The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £20.00 per hour and the annual salary is up to £45,760 per annum.
