Informatica Data Engineer

Our client is the UK's leading analysis company, offering an unrivaled range of solutions and information systems to local and central government and to businesses from most industry sectors.

They require an experienced Informatica Data Engineer to work on developing, enhancing, optimizing and supporting Informatica extracts & mappings from a SQL Server data warehouse. 

Candidates must have previous experience liaising closely with end users to design the most appropriate solution, so strong communication skills both written and verbal, are essential.

The role will involve being able to grasp business requirements quickly, designing/ proposing effective solutions, and explaining the benefits of such an approach. 

Candidates must have extensive experience in data warehousing including requirements gathering and analysis, data modeling and database design, ETL development, and deployment etc.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in ETL tools required, with experience in Informatica PowerCenter desirable
• In depth understanding of data querying techniques, SQL and data structures
• Good understanding of Database Architecture
• Experience in one or more scripting languages – e.g.
  
  shell script, python etc.
• Good customer facing skills especially when you need to provide support on their issues
• Knowledge and understanding of cloud native technologies are desirable
