Salary : £35,000 - £42,000 per annum

The Role
As we continue to grow, exciting opportunities have arisen at Citation for an experienced Health and Safety Consultant to join our Health and Safety Advice team.

Ideally, we are looking to recruit a H&S consultant with experience of working within construction or interacting with construction focussed clients.

With construction being one of our most popular client sectors, the ideal candidate will come from this background.

Citation gives clients access to health and safety advice by its team of telephone-based health and safety consultants.

No two days are the same as we work with clients to find solutions to their health and safety queries and to help them develop their health and safety management systems.

This advisory role includes providing H&S advice to our clients (covering a broad range of sectors and subjects), joint working with field teams to resolve client queries and contributing to the development of written supporting documentation and technical content for both clients and colleagues.

For example, this may involve providing guidance on risk and method statements, talking clients through their obligations in relation to accidents, enforcement action or advising on the completion of tender documents.

The H&S advice team works closely with field-based and client support teams to ensure our clients get the help they need when they need it most.

As well as advising clients, there are opportunities to get involved in wider business projects and contribute to training and induction programmes.

The Person
We're looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who can listen to a client's needs, give practical business-minded solutions to health and safety queries and who thrives on solving problems.

You will be able to demonstrate:

, Knowledge and application of health and safety legislation, industry standards and Approved Codes of Practice
, A minimum of a NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
, Membership to a recognised health and safety association and evidence of continual professional development (working towards Chartered status)
, Previous experience or knowledge of the construction sector
, Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
, Experience and ability to use a range of IT systems in a fast-paced dynamic environment
, Experience of developing and delivering health and safety training and presentations
, Good ICT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office tools.
