Market Supplement:
In addition to the salary above, this role currently attracts a market supplement of £250 per month, subject to tax and NI contributions, which is in place until 29 February 2024.

Following an internal promotion, we are now recruiting a Senior Investment Surveyor to join our Housing Maintenance and Asset Management team.

It is an exciting time to join our team as we undertake programmes of work to ensure the housing stock we manage and maintain is supporting our objectives to reduce our carbon footprint, to ensure our buildings are efficient and to support tenants to keep energy bills low.

The successful candidate will have an HNC qualification, or equivalent / above, in a relevant subject area such as construction, as well as demonstrable experience of managing maintenance works and servicing contracts at a supervisory level ideally within a social housing context.

You will also have experience of JCT, PPC and other forms of contract as well as experience of working with challenging and varied customers and stakeholders.

As part of the role, you will carry out surveying tasks that will include, but not be limited to, undertaking general property surveys, developing project briefs, preparing specifications and drawings, and effectively managing relevant contracts.

You will also supervise a small team to ensure that they are able to carry out their roles effectively, meeting all objectives and key targets, and work with the Housing Asset Manager in the formulation, implementation, delivery and monitoring of strategies, policies, and procedures.

We are, therefore, looking for individuals with strong organisational skills who can manage their time effectively to meet critical targets.

You will also be an effective communicator with excellent technical knowledge, an ability to analyse problems to identify solutions and able to work with minimal instruction.
