Job Title: Agency ODP (Operating Department Practitioner)

We are looking for an experienced Agency ODP to join our team in Birmingham, England.

As an Agency ODP, you will work across a variety of settings, including NHS hospitals and private healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and maintaining operating theatres, equipment and supplies
• Ensuring the patient is prepared for surgery and monitoring their condition throughout the operation
• Providing assistance to the surgeon during the operation
• Administering medication and fluids to the patient as required
• Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Participating in the on-call rota as required

• Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• At least 6 months of experience working in operating theatres
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work across different locations and shift patterns
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely patient records
