Electrical Supervisor – South Coast - up to £40,000 + Vehicle & Fuel Card

 

A Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM service provider situated across a portfolio of multiple commercial sites across the south coast covering Southampton, Portsmouth and Bournemouth.

The successful candidate will have a trade qualification with a proven track record as a Supervisor within Commercial Maintenance.

He or she will be responsible for managing and developing the existing client relationships at a number of sites across a large retail portfolio, as well as being responsible for the engineering team and business support functions across the South coast.

 

The successful candidate will come from a technical background and will have experience in the overall day to day running of multiple contracts (Hard services/PPM/reactive maintenance).

 

In return the company are offering a competitive package paying up to £40,000 + Vehicle, Fuel Card & package.

The role will be perfect for someone who lives in the Southampton area and is happy to travel around the south coast to Portsmouth and Bournemouth.

 

Working with the existing maintenance team, the successful candidate will be required to carry out the following supervisory and maintenance tasks.

  • To Manage the local area lead engineers and team of engineers within area allotted.
  • To ensure that all works situated within region whether that PPM or reactive are met and exceeded within SLA.
  • Analysis on 1st time fix rates per engineer and coaching/mentoring where necessary.
  • Engineer annual leave entitlement managed to ensure minimum levels of staff required are present at all times.
  • Timesheet authorisation for Payroll
  • Individual accountability for P&L of stores/reactive within their area.

    I.E have the reactive works excessively accrued labour.
  • Management of subcontractor works within area.

    Where required, quality checks are to be undertaken to ensure that the delivered works meet our expectations and are correct to the specification of works being charged.
  • Site visits to ensure the quality of quoted works delivered within area are to standards.
  • Van check audits on engineers managed with area.
  • Provide regular updates on members of staff, in lieu of required appraisals by the regional account managers and operations manager.
  • Interviewing new candidates once cleared by the technical lead.
  • Assisting with the onboarding process for new engineers, and ensuring tooling, vehicles and uniform are present for start dates and that system training is undertaken and signed off as satisfactory prior to being allowed into the field.
  • Be a point of assistance between helpdesk and the engineering team to aid in achieving mutual goals.
  • Be on Call as part of the Current Call out Rota required
Hours of Work & Salary
  • Up to £40,000
  • Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
  • Vehicle & Fuel Card
  • 08:00am to 17:00pm
  • Overtime available

  • Trade qualification
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload
  • Offer technical support to the Contract Manager, client and maintenance team
