Data Improvement Officer

About You

Do you want to play a critical part in the maintenance and updating of a key Coal Authority Mining Information dataset?

Can you help the Department deliver on its data improvement objectives?

Do you have a passion for old maps and plans?

If so, read on...

You'll have: 

  • Experience in the use of GIS with a passion for maps and plans.
  • Experience in information management and maintenance with a keen eye for detail.
  • A methodical and organised approach to task management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite for spreadsheet manipulation.
  • A desire to continue to learn and develop professionally.

About The Role

This is  your opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, innovative and diverse department of specialists from a variety of different backgrounds.

You will have a passion for interpreting old maps, plans and data and have the drive, persistence, curiosity and confidence to ensure our crucial data is the best it can be.

You should have a keen eye for detail as this data underpins organisational decision making process and public safety.  Full training will be given on all aspects of the role.
