Customer Account Manager

Role:            Customer Account Manager

Location:     Remote (required to be in Bedford once a month)

Salary:         £25,000 to £30,000 + bonus 

My client provide a government approved framework to enable public sector organisations to purchase ICT equipment.

They are currently going through a period of growth and are therefore looking to recruit a Customer Account Manager to manage incoming enquires and look after selected existing customer accounts 

Experience/skills required;

  • Minimum 2 years in a Customer Service or Account Management role dealing with customer orders and suppliers
  • Self-aware and able to adapt own behaviours to build customer relationships
  • Able to prioritise conflicting demands on their time
  • Not afraid to ask for help if it’s needed
  • Self-starter – ability to work alone without supervision
  • Team player – willing to pick up work without needing to be asked when teammates are overloaded
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High levels of attention to detail


  • Less than 1 hour’s commute from Bedford or happy to commute to Bedford 1 time a month for the monthly meeting
  • Previous public sector role
  • Previous experience in more than one of procurement/education/health/IT
  • CIPS accredited/trained
  • Project management
