Occupational Therapist

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional rehabilitation service based in the Huyton, Liverpool area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This special service is a locked rehabilitation for people with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge, as well as ward for older females

As the Occupational Therapist your key duties include:

• Produce specific initial/progressive MHRT reports


• Participate in regular service audits as directed by the Head Occupational Therapist


• To deputise for the Head Occupational Therapist when necessary


• Actively participate in the North West's Occupational Therapists in Secure Settings Network and other relevant network opportunities


• Be involved in relevant research initiatives where projects have been agreed upon by the unit Senior Management team

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Minimum of 2 years experience post qualified


• Experience of working with a similar caseload and setting


• Experience in applying Care Programme Approach


• Experience in managing and supervising staff


• An understanding of the CPA process

The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £39,015 pro rata.

This exciting position is a Fixed Term Contract for 9 months (Mat Cover) working 37.5 hours a week.
