We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Major Orthopaedics Scrub Nurse to join our team in Plymouth.

As a Major Orthopaedics Scrub Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for orthopaedic procedures, ensuring that all equipment is sterilized and in good working order.
• Scrub in and assist the surgeon during major orthopaedic surgeries, including joint replacement surgeries, spinal surgeries, and trauma cases.
• Ensure that all instruments and materials are available and ready for use during procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as needed during procedures.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain knowledge and skills in the field of orthopaedics.

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• At least 2 years of experience working as a Scrub Nurse in major orthopaedics.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and infection control procedures.
