A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to work in an exceptional Neuropsychiatric service based in Bristol.

This is a Neuropsychiatric service, split into 4 wards, offering neurorehabilitation for complex acquired brain injury individuals

As the Specialist Speech & Language Therapist your key responsibilities include:



  • You will be working directly with a specialist caseload of patients with complex needs to assess their speech, communication and language needs (SCLN) in all environments

  • As part of a multi-disciplinary team on-site, you will also work with all staff across the hospital to support the implementation of the therapeutic and neuropsychiatric approach demonstrating an interest in up skilling the workforce

  • You will work within the boundaries of the SLT pathway for neuropsychiatric/neurodegenerative services in to the hospital and directly report progress through monthly supervision to an onsite Highly Specialist SLT

  • You will provide quality assessment, interventions and be skilled in both SCLN and Dysphagia

  • Be part of a companywide SLT service and contribute to the service enhancement



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Evidence of being a strong team player with a genuine desire to help others

  • Excellent communication/time management skills

  • Enthusiasm, motivation and passion

  • Excellent understanding of core Speech and Language Therapy skills and current best practice in Speech and Language Therapy and specific service

  • Good understanding of specialism, e.g.

    PMLD, Paediatrics, Autism, Learning Disability

  • Knowledge of current assessment, intervention and outcome measurement within specialism



The successful Specialist Speech & Language Therapist will receive an excellent salary up to £36,293 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 40 hours a week.
