X2 Sous Chef's Needed – St James, London – FM Service Provider - £14 per hour- Temp to Perm

Exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to work for an established company situated in StJames, London.The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Sous Chef and will be able to work Immediately.

Hours of work & Shifts (Rota)

Temp to Perm Position
X1 - Monday - Friday - 07:00am - 15:00pm (8 hours per day)

X1 - Weekends - 08:00am - 22:00pm (14 hours per day)

Pay rate: Up to £14.00 per hour

NVQ Level 2 Culinary or equivalent, Food hygiene certificate – Level 2  

A high degree of knowledge of food hygiene including HACCP   

 Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the team in the day to day running of the canteen and kitchen, including planning and implementation of new procedures and concepts
  • Check that all food served is of the highest quality
  • Training and supervision of all new staff in the safe preparation of food items
  • Ensuring that health procedures are followed in accordance with HACCP regulations
  • Confirm that  all deliveries are crossed checked with purchase orders and that all stock delivered is counted / weighed and cross checked with delivery note
  • Ensuring that all deliveries are stored correctly as soon as possible after delivery
  • Ensuring that all dishes are prepared and portioned in accordance with the recipe cards
  • Participation in the formulation and compilation of all new menus
  • Making sure all equipment is cleaned and serviced as required, with any breakages being reported
  • Ensuring that a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming is adhered to
In addition to the above, Chefs may occasionally be required to undertake ad hoc back of house and front of house duties in line with business requirements.
