IT Support Analyst
Role: IT Technician
Location: Sheffield - Remote based but with travel to sites in the Sheffield area
Salary: Up to £30,000pa + benefits

Role Purpose:
To provide IT support services to schools and colleges within the Sheffield district, being able to understand technical issues and solve problems for end users.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work independently to provide day-to-day ICT support across school sites.
- Manage own workload through the allocation of calls via the helpdesk.
- Providing first and second line ICT support to staff and students.
- Maintenance of all ICT rooms and equipment.
- Attend and contribute to ICT related meetings.
- Assist in the development of recording systems for ICT usage.
- Keeping the ICT software/hardware inventories up to date.
- Administer Active Directory, Office365, and G-Suite.
- Install new and upgraded software and hardware.
- To monitor and manage reported faults and requests, including via the helpdesk.
- To image, deploy and maintain PCs, Laptops, tablets etc.
- To install, configure and maintain computer peripheral equipment such as scanners, printers, Interactive Whiteboards and projectors, ensuring that this hardware is regularly tested and ready for use when required.
- To install and test new software and software updates / upgrades, ensuring compliance with software licensing regulations at all time.
This is a remote based role, but you do need to be local to Sheffield as you will be required to travel to sites in the Sheffield district on a regular basis, and you will need a drivers licence and vehicle.
This post will involve contact with vulnerable groups (children, young people and/or adults) and is therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
This exemption means that applicants for this post are required to declare all criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands and bind-overs both spent and unspent in their application, regardless of the passage of time.
