About The Role
This is a great opportunity to work for one of Britain’s major statutory consultees, as part of a small and friendly team.

The Planning team at the Coal Authority plays an important role in providing advice to around 181 local planning authorities across England, Scotland and Wales, helping to ensure that the risks associated with historical coal mining are taken into account when new development is proposed.

In turn this helps to ensure the stability of property and public safety.

As Administration Officer, you will be involved in a range of work streams including registration of planning consultations onto our bespoke IT system, digitising site boundaries, assisting with handling customers enquires and ensuring adequate and efficient storage of data.  The work needs to be completed accurately and at pace, with strict adherence to approved procedure and compliance with external deadlines. You will be an invaluable member of the team and will assist in ensuring that we operate an efficient and effective service.
