CBW is looking for an experienced fabric engineer/handyperson to carry out reactive work on a static site based in the Edinburgh area.

This is a temp contract lasting until approximately the end of April.

You must be experienced in building fabric maintenance within the commercial sector.

This position is also based in the City Center, easily accessible by various transport links.

Hours of work:

• Monday to Friday (40 hour week / Overtime available at weekends)

• 7am-3pm
• 8am-4pm
• 9am-5pm

• £14 PAYE plus holiday pay

• Completion of schedule Planned Preventive Maintenance within your appointed area as and when required
• Monitors all infrastructure systems, reports on existing problems or potential problems and assists the Engineering Manager in the solutions for these problems
• Keep Plant rooms, storage rooms, electrical closets, roof and other common areas of building clean, free of debris and freshly painted condition at all times.
• To maintain continuity of all essential site equipment and life safety systems.
• To carry out planned maintenance of site plant and equipment.
• Liaise and plan work in with clients requirements 
• Observation and reporting of plant faults
• Carpentry – hanging doors, new locks, architrave, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture
• Lighting (Lamping, etc)
• Emergency lighting tests
• Painting & Decorating
• Plumbing
