Scrub Nurse/ODP

As a Scrub Nurse your key duties include:



  • Responsible for the delivery of high-quality patient focused care

  • Provide and maintain a safe environment for all patients attending theatres

  • Co-ordinate and carry out perioperative care with minimal supervision, acting as a role model and working with all members of the multi-disciplinary team

  • To be an advocate for the Trust who put patient care as a priority and high quality patient focused care at the fore front of all we do



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • High standards of clinical competence

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

  • Experience in ophthalmology would be an advantage

  • Demonstrated computer skills

  • Ability to plan equipment and consumable requirements

  • Experience in orthopaedics, hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligaments reconstruction would be an advantage but not essential

  • ALS trained is highly desirable



The successful Theatre Scrub Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £34,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
