Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer - FM Service Provider - Healthcare - Southampton  - Up to £35,000 

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in Southampton.

CBW are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to be based in a healthcare environment in Southampton The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of most general fabric trades as well as having good plumbing skills .

Working alongside the maintenance team on site, he or she will be required to carry out all aspects of fabric planned and reactive maintenance across the site.

In return the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000, overtime and further training.

 

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Emergency lighting tests
• Maintain and update Log books
• Assist the maintenance team on site
• Escort subcontractors
• To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
• Plumbing – washers, taps, unblocking toilets, unblocking stacks, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets, pipework (copper or PVC)
• Carpentry – hanging doors, new locks, architrave, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture
• Tiling – floors, walls and Carpet tiles
• Painting & Decorating
• Plastering 
• Fixing Furniture
• Hanging Pictures & Shelves

• Up to £35,000 (based on experience)
• 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
• Overtime available

• A trade qualification in plumbing would be highly desirable (Not essential)
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• A strong understanding of most general fabric trades such as basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting etc.
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
