Position: Modelling Engineer

Eleven are delighted to be partnering with a ground-breaking clean energy start-up, who are in the process of scaling-up a novel, solvent-based carbon capture technology process.
With their technology able to be deployed on all manner of Co2 emitting process industries and with significant investment from some of the biggest names in industry, they are primed to play a key role in decarbonisation solutions, as we strive for net-zero emissions.
Due to a continued period of growth & expansion of the organisational structure, they are looking to identify a Process Modelling Engineer, to work alongside experienced chemists and engineers and contribute to the technology programme.

You Will

  • Work as part of an experienced team in process development, including engineers in license package offer development and business development, with the ability to translate between the two.
  • Run / adjust process flowsheet models to support process licensing enquiries and offers.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement of process flowsheet configuration, incorporating learnings from process development programmes and engineering package designs.
About You
  • An experienced, degree qualified Chemical Engineer, with proven experience of running flowsheet models in packages such as AspenPlus or Hysys
  • Experience of working or running cross-team or cross-company projects, e.g.

    liaising with EPC engineers
  • Appreciation of / exposure to techno-economic evaluation through estimation of capital and operating costs, IRR & NPV analysis, and/or of comparing technology options for economic and technical feasibility
  • A keen eye for optimizing process configurations, e.g.

    to minimize energy use, in conceptual and more detailed designs
